Now Recruiting Youth Community Builders
Are you passionate about helping others and interested in using your social skills online to have a positive impact on the lives of others?

If so, the Community Builder role is the perfect volunteering opportunity for you!

Who are Community Builders?

Community builders are aged 16-17 and are responsible for creating a sense of meaningful connection for turn2me site members (aged 12-17). They contribute by replying to posts by community members in a positive and supportive manner. They encourage peer support in the community by leading by example and creating a space where members feel comfortable to share in a helpful way.

What is the Turn2me Peer Community?

The turn2me peer community is an online mental health support service for young people aged 12-17. Peer support is offered when a person similar to one’s own age reaches out to share experiences, learn together and help the other person move past difficulties in their lives. Community builders will act as peer supporters for turn2me community members by offering a different perspective from mental health professionals.

How long do I need to commit to volunteering?

1 hour a week for 3 months, with the option of volunteering for longer if you want to!

How do I apply?

Send an email to karina@turn2me.org for a full role description and to ask any questions you have!
